The Academy of States is a collaborative effort of leading advocates who desire that our several state legislatures bring reform to our federal government through a convention for proposing amendments authorized and empowered by Article V of the U.S. Constitution.

ENGAGE
The future of our country is in the hands of our 7,000+ state legislators who are the best solution for state and national concerns.
EDUCATE
In the US Constitution, Article V specifies how Congress or The States can fix the federal government when necessary.
EQUIP
The founding of our country was bold and noble; our founders knew things could (and would) go wrong. They provided a way to reform our government.

A compound government that combines a central “federal” government with regional “state” governments. This is the foundation of our “checks and balances” system, where the federal and state governments are equal partners.

We strive for better government by the people, for the people, with elected officials serving the will of the people and the needs of the nation.

The most powerful tool state legislators have to reform the federal government also has the most stringent security as it requires 75% agreement.
